The upcoming ALGS North American Pro League season is sparking more coversation with unexpected coaching changes, as revealed in Oversight Esports’ recent spreadsheet. The spreadsheet indicates that the 5th slot are for coaches of that respective team.

OpTic Gaming

OpTic Gaming raised eyebrows by supposedly appointing “iShiny” as their coach, known for his brief stint with NRG, and history within the Apex Legends community. This move comes after OpTic Gaming parted ways with their former coach, “Loopy,” following their 2nd place finish at the World Championship.

Sadly after publication of this article, we found out from a tweet directly from iShiny that the opportunity with OpTic Gaming sadly has fallen through and will not be the move going forward for ALGS Split 1 North American Pro League.

The opportunity to coach Optic for ALGS Y4 fell through (not the fault or will of the players… just org budget I guess).
